We went for a walk through the outdoor classroom with our 3rd Grade Buddies. What a beautiful day for a nature walk!
Mrs. Duesenberg, the principal, came to read us a story and tell us about her job. We know now that we can go to see her ANY time, not just when someone is in trouble! Can you see us all in our red shirts? We were having our PBIS reward, "Clifford Day," to celebrate earning 20 tokens for doing Body Basics in the hall and having good behavior.
Painting the first letter of our name...
It was a beautiful day for a picnic! This was our most recent PBIS reward for good behavior and doing "Body Basics" in the hall.
Kindergarten makes us tired! Here we are taking naps (wink-wink)!
In Social Studies we are learning about the importance of traffic signs and how they help to keep us safe. After this class discussion we realized that there is a place at our school where we could use a sign or two to help keep people safe...on the street by the parent-pickup area. Each student then created a sign that they thought might help to keep us safe. Next, they met with a small group to choose the one that was most effective. Finally, after narrowing down our choices to five, our class decided on one sign to possibly hang up in the parent-pickup area. Each of the Kindergarten classes will bring forth one sign and then the teachers will choose one to hang up in that area.
