Preparing for Thanksgiving by making a "thankful" turkey
Our school completed 2,000 acts of kindness, so we got to tape Mr. Barkley to the wall! We are lucky to have such a great school!
It was the perfect day for making snowmen! November 23, 2015
Watching Thanksgiving puppet shows put on by our 3rd Grade Buddies and having a turkey snack!
Our community service project to learn about our Social Studies benchmark "We are all alike and we are all different" is to donate a Christmas tree to Opportunity Village's Festival of Trees. We started out by having a guest speaker come to talk to us about what Opportunity Village is and how it helps the people in our community. We then read lots of books and voted on what theme we would like to use to decorate our tree. Our class chose Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Olive the Other Reindeer. Next we brainstormed ideas for how we could decorate the tree we created the ornaments and decorations. We are excited to have our tree displayed and to see who purchases our tree at the Festival of Trees! We are very proud of it!
