Lesson on DIVERSITY... We had a dozen eggs of all colors, sizes, and textures. We talked about how the eggs all looked different, just like people. But when we cracked them open, we found out they were all the same on the inside, just like people! (except for the really large one that had two yolks inside!!) Even though we might look different from others on the outside, we are all the same inside...with a heart and feelings.
"Words can hurt" lesson Our imaginary new student "Gooble" looks very different from us. We all said some mean things about him because he looks so different. This hurt his heart (because, of course, he is the same as us inside!). After we realized we were being mean we said sorry and tried to fix his heart, but it still was damaged. We must remember that our words can hurt others!
We are learning about the weather in Science class. Today we made shapes in the "clouds!"
Doing "Whirli-gigs" in the wind!
Mrs. Duesenberg came to introduce herself to us today. She will be the principal next year.
Fake Injury Day
We loved having a lamb and some ducks come to visit our classroom! Sure signs of spring!
